neviton barros
Dr. Néviton Barros (he/him/his) serves as an Adjunct Professor of Choral Studies and Director of the College Choir at Muhlenberg College, beginning Fall 2021.
Dr. Barros holds a degree in Voice Performance from the Escola de Música de Brasília, where he sang with Madrigal de Brasília. He holds a BM degree with a specialization in Conducting from the Universidade de Brasília. He holds an MA from Hunter College (CUNY/NYC) with a specialization in Conducting, and a DMA in Choral Studies, with a minor in Vocal Pedagogy from Louisiana State University.

Priscila Santana is a conductor, educator, researcher, and administrator with more than 10 years of experience working and advocating for music as a tool for social change in the favelas of Brazil. She has a master’s degree in Music Education from the Federal University of Paraiba and currently works as the Executive Assistant/Project Manager at Kaufman Music Center in New York City.

Hugo Sanbone
Hugo Sanbone, conductor, composer, multi-instrumentalist and musical director with an innovative style, in his project presents compositions anchored in the mixture of rhythmic patterns and in the contemporary harmonic aesthetics of Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.

He is the founder and conductor of the Sanbone Pagode Orquestra. As the maestro of the Yemanja Project, Sanbone is developing and composing an opera with IBOC on the theme of Yemanja.
